This study focuses on your experience managing earnings and time, and is divided into two modules: a short questionnaire, and an experimental module part in which you complete simple visual tasks and can earn a bonus on top of your fixed participation fee.
The bonus reward is awarded on top of your fixed earnings from study participation. You will be able to complete the study earlier if you feel that your bonus rewards are too low.
The data collected will be used for research purposes only. Any responses you provide will be completely anonymous, as no identifying information will be collected during the study. Prolific will allow us to link your choices to your gender, age, and other demographics, but we will receive no identifying information about you, and we will not be able to link this information to your name.
If you give us your permission by completing and submitting the study, we plan to discuss/publish the results in an academic forum. The study data, which does not contain any personal information, may be shared with cooperation partners for collaborative analysis and made publicly accessible via research databases or scientific publications. Please note that once study data are publicly accessible, their further distribution by others cannot be ruled out and falls beyond the area of influence or responsibility of the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. This study is conducted in accordance with the laws D. Lgs. 196/2003 and UE GDPR 679/2016 on data protection. The experimental protocol and the management of the study data has been approved by the Joint Ethical Committee of the Universities "Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna", "Scuola Normale Superiore", and "IMT Scuola Alti Studi Lucca" (N: n. 23/2026, April 30).
